I’ve been teaching pregnancy yoga for over 7 years, during this time I’ve helped hundreds of women have a more comfortable pregnancy and a better birth.

My classes are much more than just exercises to keep you fit whilst pregnant; as a trained hypnobirthing teacher, I’ll prepare you mentally and physically for birth, so you look forward to giving birth, with calm confidence.

I started yoga at around 17 weeks. The first weeks of my pregnancy I found challenging, I was extremely anxious, tired, sick and generally felt very low. A friend of mine recommended I contact Donna and give yoga a go. I’d tried yoga before and found it wasn’t really for me. I was surprised at how different I felt this time around in Donna’s class. Being around other pregnant women, sharing and listening to stories made me feel like I wasn’t alone in this. But the biggest thing Donna and the class taught me was to relax and trust my body. This was when I started to enjoy pregnancy more and my anxiety just seemed to disappear.

During class I’ll guide you through each stage of your pregnancy, strengthening the body and mind. You’ll hear positive, uplifting birth stories from other mums from class. You’ll learn optimal foetal positioning and positions for labour. Plus, breathing techniques to calm the nervous system, so you work with your body to birth your baby. Each class ends with a deep relaxation to nourish mother and baby, leaving you feeling calm, positive and ready for birth. Plus, you’ll meet other lovely mums to be, creating a network of mum friends, to support you once baby arrives.

Pregnancy yoga classes are suitable for all pregnant ladies from 13 weeks to full term. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve practised yoga before or are a complete beginner. The classes will guide you safely through each stage of your pregnancy, helping you build strength and confidence, so you have a more relaxed pregnancy and a calmer birth.
